Heirs of treaty-entitled persons
As the heir of the deceased, do you get money back from us? Then we need a bank account number from you and in most cases also proof that you are an heir.
What documents do I need to provide?
In addition to your bank details, we also need proof of inheritance with refunds over € 500.
Step 1: Bank details
Are you the only heir? Fill in the bank details form (pdf, 88 kB) in full. Are there more heirs? Then fill in the form Authorisation by heirs (pdf, 122 kB). One heir then receives the refund with the permission of the other heirs.
Step 2: Proof that you are an heir
Depending on the amount we pay you, you will also need to send supporting documents.
Please note
Have you received more than one annual statement from us? Then add up all the amounts to be refunded and use the total amount for the table below.
| Total refund | Document needed |
|---|---|
| Lower than € 500 | None |
| Between € 500 and € 3.500 | Declaration of kinship |
| More than € 3.500 | Certificate of inheritance |
Declaration of kinship: With this form you declare that you are the heir of the deceased. Download the Declaration of kinship (pdf, 97 kB), fill in and sign.
Certificate of inheritance: A certificate of inheritance states who the heirs of the deceased are. A notary can draw up this certificate after the death on request.
Step 3: Send
Send the forms and supporting documents to us. This can be done digitally via our contact form or by mail:
