Annual statement

You will receive an annual statement from us each year. This shows two important amounts: the amount that has been deducted from your pension(s) or benefit, and the amount that you should have paid. You will then immediately see whether you are entitled to a refund, need to make an additional payment, or have paid the right amount. This page tells you all about the annual statement.

Your annual statement:

  • is an overview of payments;
  • will be sent to you in July, August, or by 29 September at the latest;
  • refers to the previous year; and
  • is usually provisional, but is sometimes the final statement.

Provisional or final

Your annual statement shows the calculation of your healthcare contribution. This healthcare contribution is calculated on the basis of several factors. One of them is your worldwide income. We receive this information from the Dutch Tax Administration.

Provisional

If we do not have all the information from the Dutch Tax Administration by the end of September, you will receive a provisional annual statement. Do you need to pay an additional amount to us? If so, you may pay in instalments or in one lump sum. You may also wait for the final annual statement.

Final

Do we have all the information from the Dutch Tax Administration? If so, you will receive your final annual statement from us.

Paying the annual statement

The way in which you pay the annual statement varies. It depends on whether you have been issued a provisional or final annual statement. Want to find out all about it? Find out more here

Tip

View or download your annual statement? This can be done in My CAK (Dutch only). You will need a DigiD for this.

Your worldwide income is your Dutch income and your foreign income combined. When calculating your worldwide income, the Dutch Tax Administration take your deductible items into account as well.

Do you disagree with your stated worldwide income? If so, you can lodge an objection with the Dutch Tax Administration (Belastingdienst.nl). They determine your worldwide income.
