My situation
Instead of using the flowchart, you can also read below what you need to do in your situation, after receiving our letter.
I have a paid internship
If you are from and EU/EER-country*, you need a Dutch basic health insurance during your paid internship.
Getting a Dutch Basic health insurance
Are you from another country? Then you only need Dutch basic health insurance if your internship pays you at least the minimum wage. If you get paid less, you need to apply for the Wlz assessment. The result of this assessment will be your proof that you don't need Dutch health insurance. If the SVB concludes that you don't need Dutch health insurance, we will close your file.
